I want to love JESUS like this.

I know that I'm not worthy of His love, grace and mercy but I believe that what I've done before doesn't matter in the eyes of God. That is how He loves us. Unconditional. Indescribable. Different. Extreme.

Unconditionally. John 3:16 clearly declares how God loves us unconditionally. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." He is willing to give everything. Willing to sacrifice Jesus Christ for us to be saved but not only that, He is more than willing to offer an eternal life with Him. How blessed we are to be with Him not only today, not only tommorow but for eternal. And what we need to do is just believe in Him. Part of believing is accepting and trusting Him. That whatever plans He has for our lives is good, pleasing and perfect. Yet sometimes we are too impatient to wait for Him, unfaithful to just neglect His presence, and undeserved by enjoying a sinful life. That is why whenever you felt your taken away by the works of the enemy, be quick to remember how God loves you. What sacrifices  He gave just to save us and just to show us how He love us.

Indescribable. Isaiah 51:6 "Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail."  God himself rise the sun for us, put up millions of stars in the sky for us to know His majesty. That is God's indescribable love. He made all things on purpose. He created the heaven and everything you can see. So i'll stop here coz I can't describe anymore the love He has for us. Simply Indescribable.

Different. Isaiah 40:18 "To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to?" Jeremiah 10:6 "No one is like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is mighty in power. " His Word is enough to explain how different He is.

Extreme. 1 John 3:1 "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him." He gave us not just an ordinary love but a love full of extremes. He gave us an identity in this world full of unknown. That is why we must embrace this love, this identity, Jesus.

So what do we do know? Have you done something in return? Did you ever made Him smile?

Can you do something for Jesus like what this sinful woman did in Luke chapter 7?

"and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them." Luke 7:38

It is not just about the expensive perfume she poured on Jesus' feet, it is not just about her hair which she uses to wipe Jesus' feet but I think it is the tears that captured Jesus' heart. The tears that longs for forgiveness, the tears of joy being in the presence of His Savior, the tears that wants to move the heart of Jesus.

That is how I want to love Jesus.
